ViewSonic has launched a 17.2-inch portable monitor aimed squarely at gamers.
The ViewSonic VX1755(Opens in a new window) uses a 17.2-inch IPS panels with a 1080p resolution. Even though it’s portable, ViewSonic hasn’t compromised on the features you’d expect from a gaming display. That means a 144Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium technology. There’s also a built-in stand allowing for both portrait and landscape modes.

When connected to a PC, the VX1755 only requires a single USB-C connection to allow for video, audio, and power transfer. However, a second USB-C port is available to allow for power to be supplied when the display is hooked up to a games console, or it can be used to plug-in a keyboard, mouse, or other peripheral as desired. The power supply works both ways, meaning it’s possible to plug the display into a power bank or AC adapter and outlet to charge a connected laptop or tablet.
The surface of the panel has a 3H anti-glare hard coating and the LED backlight is rated at 15,000 hours and 250 lumens for brightness. As well as the two USB-C ports, the VX1755 includes a 3.5mm audio out and a mini HMDI 2.0 port. A couple of internal speakers are rated at 0.8W.
