At CES 2022, Asus announced the ProArt Display PA348CGV, its latest large-screen ultrawide monitor for creative pros. In many ways similar to the Editors’ Choice-winning Asus ProArt PA34VC, it offers improvements in brightness, color coverage, frame rate, stand, and more.

The ProArt Display PA348CGV is a 34-inch UWQHD (3,440 by 1,440) ultrawide (with a 21:9 aspect ratio) display with a rated 400-nit brightness. It is pre-calibrated for a Delta E greater than 2, ensuring high color accuracy. It is rated to cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. The PA348CGV is Calman Verified and features a 120Hz variable frame rate to provide smooth 2D/3D rendering.

An ergonomic design allows users to easily adjust the monitor for a better viewing angle. Including two types of monitor stands for different scenarios, it allows users to choose either a traditional monitor stand or a C-clamp desk mount to best utilize desk space. Inputs include DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, a full-function USB-C port (DisplayPort Alt Mode plus Power Delivery up to 90 watts), and a USB hub.

Ultrawide large-screen monitors are a boon for creative work in that they let photographers or designers compare two or more reasonably large versions of the same image on the screen at once. The ProArt Display PA348CGV lets you do this with aplomb, rendering a bright image with accurate colors.

The PA348CGV is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2022, at a list price of $689.
