If you’re in the market for a new 4G LTE Windows Phone device, Sprint has you covered.
The wireless carrier on Wednesday announced plans to carry two new Windows Phone 8 devices this summer — the HTC 8XT and Samsung Ativ S Neo. The HTC 8XT will be priced at $99.99 while the Ativ S Neo will set users back $149.99, both after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement. As for features, the HTC 8XT is geared towards music lovers, boasting dual front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier, and Beats Audio for “studio quality” sound. There’s an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash on the back, as well as a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera.
The 4.3-inch HTC 8XT is powered by a 1.4-GHz, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which supports 4G LTE and 1080p video capture. Other specs include 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB memory cards, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS support, and 1,800mAh lithium-ion battery.
The Ativ S Neo, meanwhile, has a 4.8-inch high-definition display, and features an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. It’s powered by a 1.4-GHz dual-core processor and offers 1GB of RAM, a microSD memory card slot, and 2,000mAh lithium-ion removable battery.
“We know our customers are anxious to get their hands on these Windows Phone 8 smartphones, HTC 8XT and Ativ S Neo,” Fared Adib, senior vice president of product development at Sprint, said in a statement. “Without a doubt, they will rival any smartphone on the market today. Our customers will appreciate being able to use them all day, every day without worrying about overages or data caps.”
Sprint’s 4G LTE network went live in July 2012 in 15 cities. Last week, it added 22 more cities for a total 110 markets nationwide with 4G LTE.
