Own a Mac that was made between 2009 and 2011? Apple may be dropping support for your machine.

MacRumors(Opens in a new window) got its hands on an internal memo stating that Cupertino will add four Macs to its list of vintage and obsolete products. That includes the 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro from early 2011 as well as the Mac mini from early 2009 and the 13-inch MacBook from mid-2009.

Starting next year, Apple and its Authorized Service Providers will no longer service your hardware or provide new parts if something on your machine breaks. If you purchased your device in Turkey or California, however, you’re in luck: Apple will continue to make repairs on the aforementioned models until Dec. 31, 2018 thanks to local laws.

For everyone else, it might be a good idea to have your device checked out and backed up before the end of the year.

As MacRumors points out, Apple deems a product “vintage” if it was manufactured between five and seven years ago. It’s “obsolete” if it’s been discontinued for more than seven years.

“Apple and Authorized Service Providers make no distinction between obsolete and vintage products outside of Turkey and California,” the report notes.
