Kicking off CES, Canon has announced four new Pixma printers, including two home-office multifunction printers (MFP) and two single-function printers, one geared to home offices and one to consumers.

It also announced a portable small-format photo printer with Wi-Fi in its Selphy line.

The models include the Pixma MX532 Wireless Office All-In-One, the Pixma MX472 Wireless Office All-In-One, the Pixma iX6820 Wireless Inkjet Business Printer, the Pixma iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer, and the Selphy CP910 Wireless Compact Photo Printer.

The CP910 is the latest in Canon’s Selphy line of small-format, dedicated photo printers. This highly portable printer offers connections including Wi-Fi, SD card, USB memory, and direct USB connection with a computer. It features a built-in wireless access point that connects directly to a user’s compatible digital camera (such as the Canon PowerShot N) or smartphone for on-the-go printing without the need to connect to a wireless router. An optional battery and charger are available.

A new Print Finish function lets users change photo texture by simply changing the setting through the printer’s LCD monitor. Users can apply a vintage look to photos by using the black-and-white feature. The printer is also compatible with a wide selection of printer paper, including select square stickers (2.13 by 2.13 inches), which is ideal for printing images from smartphone photo sharing-applications such as Instagram.

The free Canon Easy-PhotoPrint App, available for Apple and Android devices, lets users select and then print an image directly from the camera roll on their device. This printer offers an enhanced option to unlock photos with Apple AirPrint for wireless printing from iPhones and iPads. The Selphy CP910 is also compatible with Windows RT devices.

The MX532 wireless MFP features Quiet Mode, auto-duplex printing and FastFront loading that lets users quickly and easily replace paper and ink cartridges without having to stand the printer lid upright. Its front paper tray holds up to 100 sheets. With cloud-based Pixma Printing Solutions (PPS) application capabilities, it can access images and documents for printing, from mobile devices and online services like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Dropbox, Picasa Web Albums, Evernote, Photobucket and Canon iMage Gateway. The PPS app allows users to wirelessly print multiple document formats including Word, Excel, jpeg, and pdf from a compatible wireless-capable mobile device or tablet.

The MX472 is designed as a very affordable wireless home office MFP. It features a compact design, a four-color hybrid ink system along with FastFront loading, Quiet Mode, and an automatic document feeder (ADF).

The iX6820 single-function business printer has five individual ink tanks for improved graphic detail in color and black and white. Canon offers optional high-yield black cartridges for it. The printer has a Solution Template to create a variety of projects such as posters, fliers, menus, and more for clients or other business ventures. The printer’s Quiet Mode helps ensure the device fits in with any business location. The consumer-oriented iP8720 single-function printer features six individual ink tanks and can produce images up to 13 by 19 inches. It offers 9,600-by-2,400 maximum dpi.

The Pixma iP8720 will have an estimated retail price of $299.99; the Pixma iX6820, $199.99; and the Pixma MX532, $149.99. Both the Pixma MX472 and the Selphy CP910 will sell for an estimated $99.99.
