Computer component and gaming peripheral maker Corsair has developed its own gaming desktop.

The Corsair One will be a fully built desktop, meaning it’s pre-assembled with all the components it needs to run; specs and pricing were not revealed. As you can see in the image, the Corsair One is a small-form-factor system with a sleek, minimalist design.

Corsair has created a solid reputation on its components, but this is a departure for the California-based manufacturer, which is branching out from well-regarded memory modules, cases, power supplies, and processor coolers. Corsair also produces several lines of gaming peripherals, including some of PCMag’s best-rated keyboards and mice.

Corsair won’t be the first to make this jump, though there have been some mixed results over the years. BFG, for example, couldn’t quite take off with products like the Phobos, while Maingear turned its rough early attempts into a success, now offering products like the high-end Rush X99. Razer is one of the other big examples, having turned its gaming peripherals and branding into a huge hit with laptops like the Blade .

We’ll have to wait to see how the Corsair One shakes out, but it’s an intriguing design, and Corsair has a more proven hardware pedigree than most. Stay tuned for more details and our review of the Corsair One when it becomes available.
