Today, Dell has announced it is launching three new monitors focused on video conferencing, which also count as the first in the world to be certified for Microsoft Teams.
The three monitors(Opens in a new window) are the Dell 24 Video Conferencing Monitor (C2422HE), Dell 27 Video Conferencing Monitor (C2722DE), and the Dell 34 Curved Video Conferencing Monitor (C3422WE). All three displays include a pop-up 5MP IR camera, dual 5W integrated speakers, and a noise-canceling microphone to ensure “stunning video and audio clarity.” They also allow you to instantly join a meeting thanks to the inclusion of a dedicated Microsoft Teams button mounted on the speaker below the screen.
Dell supports Windows Hello secure sign-in and Cortana for hands-free input, but also caters for those long and/or late night video calls by including ComfortView Plus. It’s a built-in solution Dell says offers low blue light output without compromising on color accuracy.
Microsoft introduced Microsoft Teams certification(Opens in a new window) for peripherals last year. The goal was to ensure a range of devices could be offered to consumers and business users alike that require no additional configuration to interact with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business. Dell is apparently the first to achieve this for monitors, meaning you can just plug in the power cord, HDMI cable, and start calling.
