While tablets and portable laptops have dominated the PC press lately, HP never stopped creating innovative desktop PCs for the education and home market. As a result, it’s updating its desktop lines for the upcoming back-to-school season with sleek new designs for all-in-one and tower desktop configurations.
The new HP Pavilion all-in-one PCs feature a full desktop PC built into something it calls the pedestal floating display. Basically, it’s a sleek stand that lets you store the keyboard underneath the screen. Full HD 16:9 displays and edge-to-edge flush glass give the design an elegant minimalist look. A choice of various fourth-generation Intel Celeron and Core processors or the latest generation of AMD A4 through A10 processors lets you choose between high-end performance and budget-friendly computing.
Three screen sizes are available, ranging from the small 21.5-inch to a mid-sized 23-inch, up to the behemoth 27-inch IPS displays.

HP is still bullish on desktop tower PCs, with a trio of new systems, which range from affordable to high-performance model lines. The HP Pavilion Tower is the value model, with a choice of four colors and a selection of AMD and Intel processors. Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics are an option, though choices are limited to low-end enthusiast cards. HP Pavilion will be available on June 26 starting at $449.99.

HP Envy and Envy Phoenix give you more storage options, including up to 3TB hard drives or 512GB Solid State Drives (SSDs). HP Envy Phoenix is available with high-end Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics, something you used to see solely in $3,000+ gaming systems. The HP Envy starts at $649.99, with the more capable Envy Phoenix at $699.99. Faster graphics and processors will push these prices higher. All HP Envy and Envy Phoenix models will be available on June 10.
