At this week’s Computex show in Taipei, SanDisk introduced a set of spacious and speedy flash storage devices.
The new Ultra Fit and Ultra USB flash drives come in capacities up to 256GB. Also, the 1.92TB SanDisk Extreme 900 and 480GB SanDisk Extreme 500 SSDs are some of the fastest USB drives available. Look for them soon on the shelves.

If you need more space, the compact SanDisk Extreme 500 comes in a 480GB capacity with USB 3.0 throughputs up to 415MBps. It’s designed to be a speedy storage device you carry everywhere, with a metal ring that clips to your daily carry bag. It’s priced at $99.99 for 120GB, $149.99 for 240GB, and $239.99 for 480GB.
If you need even more space and speed, the top shelf SanDisk Extreme 900 SSD has up to a 1.92TB capacity and uses USB Type-A and Type-C cables to connect to a wide range of current and future PCs. SanDisk is claiming up to 850MBps throughput using the latest interfaces.
The Extreme 900 comes in a rugged aluminum case, and is available in three capacities as well: 480GB for $399.99, 960GB for $599.99, and 1.92TB for $999.99. That’s pricey to be sure, but if you’re in the market for almost 2TB of SSD storage, you’re likely going to be able to write it off as a business purchase.
