The Thermaltake Tt eSports Level 10 M Hybrid Mouse ($99.99) is an extremely customizable gaming mouse, bred for the picky user who wants plenty of options, as well as ways to finetune the feel of the mouse for comfort during long gaming sessions. Designed by BMW Designworks USA, the Level 10 M Hybrid Mouse is certainly distinctive looking.
The Level 10 M Hybrid is made for right-hand use, though it can be adjusted for left-hand use. Hex bolts built into the matte-black plastic surface allow you to adjust the height and sideways tilt of the palm rest. A fancy Allen key is included in case you don’t have one handy. Aside from the usual left-click, right-click, and center-scroll wheel buttons, there are two action buttons and a 4-way directional pad built into the mouse’s left face. While handy for FPS games, the lack of a thumb rest ensures that you will be clicking these buttons inadvertently. There is a finger rest on the right side, which helps your grip. The mouse has a pleasing heft, but isn’t weight adjustable, which is important to some gamers.
The mouse can be operated both wired (via an included micro-USB cable) and wirelessly. In either case, a metal hook extends from the front of the mouse, which is a little ungainly. Connectivity and responsiveness is fine under both options, and you can select from four dpi settings to adjust to your gaming style on the fly. The built-in rechargeable battery is not removable, and should last about 15 hours on a full charge.
