Best Buy is extending an ongoing MacBook Pro promotion to offer $200 off the Retina display versions of Apple’s popular laptops.
The deal, however, is only good on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, so act fast. Students with a .edu email address can take an extra $100 off, for a total savings of $300.
Those who take advantage of the sale can get a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display with 8GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage for $1,999.99(Opens in a new window), down from $2,199.99. The 15-inch with 16GB of memory and 512GB of flash storage is $2,599(Opens in a new window), down from $2,799.99.
The smaller, 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is on sale for $1,299.99 for 128GB(Opens in a new window) of flash storage, or $1,499.99 for 256GB(Opens in a new window). Both include 8GB of memory.

The Retina display deals build on a MacBook promotion that kicked off last week and runs until Saturday, which also offers $200 off the non-Retina, 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Meanwhile, anyone who trades in a working iPad 2 or iPad 3 will receive a $200 Best Buy gift card, which can be used on anything in the store. If you buy an iPad with Retina display starting Sunday, you will receive a $50 gift card. So, customers who trade in an iPad 2 or iPad 3 and buy a new iPad with Retina will get $250 towards their purchase, Best Buy said.
Today and tomorrow, the retailer is also offering $999.99 for the Sony 60-inch LED Smart HDTV and $200 off the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 convertible laptop/tablet.
