Best Buy Offering $200 Off 13-Inch MacBook Pro

Best Buy is running a deal on the MacBook Pro that takes $200 off the 13-inch version of Apple’s popular laptop.

Students with .edu email addresses, meanwhile, can get an additional $100 off for $300 in savings. Just register at BestBuy.com/StudentDeals(Opens in a new window).

The deal applies to two versions of Cupertino’s 13.3-inch MacBook Pro. The version with 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive is now $999.99(Opens in a new window), down from $1,199.99. The MacBook Pro with 8GB of memory and a 750GB hard drive, meanwhile, is now $1,299.99(Opens in a new window), down from $1,499.99.

The 4GB MacBook Pro comes equipped with a 2.5-GHz Intel Core i5 processor, while the 8GB version runs a 2.9-GHz Intel Core i7 processor. Both include Intel HD 4000 graphics, a 1,280-by-800 display, and run Mac OS X Mountain Lion. For more, check out PCMag’s review of the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

A Best Buy spokeswoman said the deal is currently scheduled to run until Saturday, July 27.

In addition to the extra $100 off the MacBook Pro, Best Buy has a number of other student discounts. They will be valid until Aug. 10, though the spokeswoman promised a new set of student deals on Aug. 11.
