HP today announced its newest consumer notebooks, with an emphasis on power and portability. They feature new processors from AMD and Intel, and most feature touch-enabled screens. These laptops will debut throughout June, in prices ranging from $399 to $699.
The HP Envy TouchSmart 15 notebook, comes with a full HD 15.6-inch touch screen, as well as enhanced audio features: Beats Audio, four speakers, and a dual-drive subwoofer. It’s coming out June 5, with a starting price of $529.
With a larger viewing area, the HP Envy 17 notebook has a full HD 17.3-inch screen. The HP Envy 17 comes equipped with an Intel processor and Nvidia graphics for a faster rendering of videos and 3D games. The Envy 17 can be equipped with up to 2TB of hard drive storage for storing hours of videos and thousands of photos. The Envy 17 also comes with Beats Audio with four speakers and a dual drive subwoofer. The HP Envy 17 Notebook will be out June 5, with a starting price of $699.
The HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11 starts at an economical $399 base price. It’s a light and thin touch-screen laptop with an 11-inch screen. The TouchSmart 11 is one of the smaller full-featured laptops on the market, and is priced to compete with mobile OS tablets. It’s coming out June 26.
The HP Pavilion 15 Notebook is a more mainstream value-priced laptop. It has a 15.6-inch HD display, a keyboard with a numeric keypad, and a choice of sparkling black or regal purple exterior. Watch DVDs using the integrated optical drive with SRS Premium HD, and the laptop comes with a spacious 1TB of hard drive storage. The HP Pavilion 15 Notebook is coming out on June 5 starting from $429.
The HP Pavilion 14 TouchSmart Sleekbook is AMD APU powered, and comes with a 14-inch touch screen. It’s another value laptop, notable because it comes with a touch screen, which used to bump the base price up to $500-600. The Pavilion 14 TouchSmart Sleekbook starts at $479.99 and will be available on June 26.
