Lenovo has dropped the price of the Yoga Tablet 8 to $199(Opens in a new window).
The tablet originally retailed for $269 and has averaged about $241 since the beginning of the year. This $70 on-site savings drops the price $20 lower than previous discounts for this model.
The Lenovo Yoga 8 is a robust 8-inch tablet with a unique design that produces a weightless feel. Compared to its 10-inch counterpart, the Yoga Tablet 10, the smaller Yoga 8 provides a sharper display and more comfortable design. It’s small and light, weighting in at only 14.1 ounces. A small, durable, kickstand extends from the cylindrical base, and props the tablet up in various positions.
The 1,280-by-800-pixel LCD screen produces a sharper image compared to the 10-inch model. Those high-definition visuals can be viewed from a 178-degree viewing angle using in-plane switching (IPS) technology. Front-facing speakers with Dolby Digital Plus enhancement are uniquely placed to face the user and in combination with both front- and rear-facing cameras, make multimedia easier to enjoy.
The Lenovo Yoga 8 runs Android 4.1 and comes with 16GB of storage, expandable to 64GB via mirco-SD. The battery surpassed 8 hours in testing and Lenovo claims the tablet is able to run up to 18 hours of Web browsing over Wi-Fi.
