Live From Apple’s iPad Event

[ad_1]

Apple is set to reveal its new iPads today during an event that will also probably include news on its Mac lineup and the latest update to Mac OS X, Yosemite.

PCMag’s Dan Costa and Joel Santo Domingo are in Cupertino, and will be live-blogging the event via @PCMagLive(Opens in a new window), embedded below. Apple will also live-stream the event on apple.com/live(Opens in a new window), but only on Apple devices. Specifically, you’ll need a Mac with OS X v10.6.8 or later and Safari version 5.1.10 or later. On iOS, you’ll need at least iOS 6, while the stream will also work on Apple TV units with second- or third-generation Apple TV software 6.2 or later.

We might already know what Apple has up its sleeve for the iPad. Yesterday, an iPad user’s guide for iOS 8 popped up online listing an iPad mini 3 and an iPad Air 2, both of which sported Touch ID. The iTunes listing(Opens in a new window) was quickly updated to show the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, and you can follow along below. Until then, check out What to Expect From Apple’s iPad Event, as well as 7 Things We Want in Apple’s New iPad.
