Ever look at the Microsoft Surface keyboard and wish you could have something similar for your iPad? Logitech has something new that might fill the void.

The tech accessory company on Tuesday announced a new Bluetooth keyboard that’s compatible with all generations of the iPad and iPad mini, and bears a strong resemblance to the Touch Cover that comes with the Surface. Priced at $69.99, Logitech’s “Keys-To-Go” standalone keyboard comes in red, black, and teal and is expected to be available in the U.S., Europe, and select Asian countries next month.

It measures 6.1mm thick, meaning it will easily tuck into your purse or briefcase, and weighs just 6 ounces. The keys give you the “tactile feedback” you’re used to on a laptop, and are fused into a water-repellant skin covering that should protect the keyboard from spills and dirt. So don’t worry about crumbs getting stuck in the keys, while liquids will wipe right off.

“People use their iPads everywhere and the Logitech Keys-To-Go was specifically designed to effortlessly support people’s active lifestyles,” Michele Hermann, vice president of mobility at Logitech, said in a statement(Opens in a new window). “Whether you’re a mother or father taking your iPad from the kids to type a quick note, or a traveling executive catching up on email, you can have easy access to typing when you need to say more.”

Meanwhile, Logitech also updated its current lineup of protective iPad cases with integrated keyboards, including the Type+ and Ultrathin, to be compatible with the new iPad Air 2 ($445.00 at eBay)(Opens in a new window). The Type+ all-in-one keyboard case comes in black, dark blue, red, green, electric blue, or violet for $100 while the Ultrathin magnetic clip-on keyboard cover comes in space gray or silver for $90.
