Too busy digging out from Nemo to check the news this weekend? Here’s what you missed.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro went on sale Friday, and it quickly sold out. By Saturday, the 64GB and 128GB version of the tablet were no longer available on the Microsoft website. However, Redmond didn’t release any details about how many tablets it actually had available, so it’s not known if being “sold out” means a blockbuster weekend for Microsoft or the depletion of an already limited supply of Surface Pros.

Meanwhile, the debate over how much storage you actually get on your Surface Pro continued. The final verdict? You get roughly half to 75 percent of each tablet’s advertised storage, but Microsoft doesn’t make it that easy to figure out. Should you get a Surface Pro? Check out PCMag’s full review for more.

In other news, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg had the chance to head up a different social network – LinkedIn. In an excerpt from her new book, Sandberg said LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman approached the Google executive in mid-2006 to inquire whether she’d be interested in a career change. “I thought it was a great opportunity, and after five years in the same position at Google I was ready for a new challenge,” she wrote. “But the timing was tricky. I was thirty-seven years old and wanted to have a second child. I told Reid the truth: regrettably, I had to pass.”

Meanwhile, an 11-year-old made headlines this weekend for the “Runescape Gold Hack,” which allegedly promised to give free gold to players of the popular massively multiplayer online game.
