Though Rovio is prepping for the launch of Angry Birds Star Wars II, the original Star Wars game will soon be available on all consoles.

On Oct. 29, U.S. gamers will be able to pick up their copy of Angry Birds Star Wars for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.

The console version, which launches for international markets on Nov. 1, includes new features like multiplayer modes to battle friends in a two-player cooperative or competitive mode with up to four players. Also, look for exclusive content like 25 hours of gameplay, plus 20 never-before-seen levels, and the ability to unlock bonus content.

The game is available for pre-order(Opens in a new window) now, but it appears that the link is only live on Walmart.com(Opens in a new window) at this point, which lists the game for $39.96 for the PS3, Wii, PS Vita, and Xbox 360, while the Wii U version is $49.96 and the 3DS option is selling for $29.96.

Rovio first visited a galaxy far, far away last fall, when it released Angry Birds Star Wars for Android, iOS, PC, and Mac platforms (see the slideshow above). The game — a mash-up of a relatively new concept (Angry Birds) with a more established franchise (George Lucas’s movies) — has made a splash since its November debut.

Early this week, Rovio announced its sequel to the wildly popular title, expected in app stores worldwide on Sept. 19. Angry Birds Star Wars II will follow the story of the three prequel Star Wars films, introducing new characters, and new functions —players can, for the first time, “join the pork side” and play as one of the evil pigs.
