Halfbrick, the makers of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, are at it again with a brand-new mobile game called Colossatron: Massive World Threat, which will let you wage war against mankind.

The Brisbane, Australia-based developer today released the first details of the 80s-anime-inspired game, along with the premiere trailer, which offers a peak at the action that’s in store. Players will take control of Colossatron, a gigantic robotic monster with colorful body segments who is hell-bent on leaving a trail of destruction across the globe.

“From the unknown depths of space, the gargantuan robotic snake Colossatron crash-lands on Earth with no purpose other than causing ultimate chaos,” Halfbrick explained in a news release. “With all the action being covered live by Rick Dalton and Katie Hazard of Metro 6 Action News, players must build and shape Colossatron to become an unstoppable force of destruction.”

Players will face adversaries such as General Moustache and his military on their rampage to cause the highest amount of dollars in damages. Along the way, players can beef up Colossatron by attaching red, yellow, and blue “Powernodes,” which gives it different weapons and abilities. Each color can be combined to form new colors and stronger Powernode tiers.

“The more powerful Colossatron is, the more destroyed and the higher the score,” the developer said. “Players can compare and even combine their destructive powers, with additional competitive and cooperative social features revealed soon.”

At this point, there’s no release date or platform details available, but Halfbrick said the game will be “landing soon.” For more, check out the premiere trailer below.
