The Assassin’s Creed franchise will live on, as Ubisoft today announced its next installment — Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The title will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U, with an additional 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay for the PS3 edition, according to(Opens in a new window)

Without making an official public announcement, the game maker confirmed to VideoGamer.com(Opens in a new window)
that it will parse out more details at noon ET on March 4. No further information has been revealed, but expect to learn more about a final release date and retail prices on Monday.

Ubisoft did not immediately respond to PCMag’s request for comment.

Fans can gauge from the cover art that the game’s sixth installment will focus on a league of pirates, likely led by protagonist Edward Kenway. Based on the image’s Jolly Roger-like flag and ominous, hooded character wielding a sword and pistol, a Caribbean buccaneer adventure will likely sail in soon.

Earlier this week, Kotaku leaked a photo(Opens in a new window)
of a Black Flag poster, featuring a massive brawl between Kenway and his swashbuckling enemies.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been going strong for more than five years, launching numerous games and spin-offs, comics, films, novels, and even an Assassin’s Creed encyclopedia, with more on the way. Early this month, Ubisoft released a trailer and confirmed dates for the last two episodes of its three-part Assassin’s Creed III DLC, The Tyranny of King Washington.

Additionally, the company announced McFarlane Toys as the new creator of the game’s action figures, the first line of which will feature seven characters, including Hatham Kenway and two versions of hero Connor.
