Topping tech headlines Monday were Eric Schmidt’s instructions for switching from iOS to Android.
Schmidt posted his tips in a personal Google+ post, which breaks down every step of moving to Android, including setting up Gmail, downloading apps, and transferring over your contacts and music.
In other news, Qualcomm began taking pre-orders for its Toq smartwatch, which syncs with Android smartphones via Bluetooth to deliver alerts, messages, and updates to your wrist. Consumers can now order the black version of the Toq for $349.99 through Qualcomm’s online store.
Meanwhile, Google’s new Android 4.4 KitKat OS is now rolling out to those with the HTC One Google Play edition. The 305MB update boosts the device to Android 4.4 KRT 16S, and includes recent fixes to radio connectivity and encryption bugs. It doesn’t, however, include the Nexus 5’s “Google Experience Launcher,” which adds features like a Google Now option to the home screen.
