  The entertaining and addictive The Sims 3 Expansion pack World Adventures takes you to three new places. You can travel to China, Egypt, and France. It also offers lots of new features to add to the original PC game, The Sims 3.

First, I liked the all-new clothing and hair. Once I was done making my family, I chose my house. You have to start by living in the U.S., but furniture for the house comes from the three other places you can travel to.

On my adventure, I went to Egypt. I liked that all the tombs and pyramids were based on real-life objects—the Great Pyramid, The Great Sphinx, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut—and you can go inside them. Some, however, are hard to explore, with lots of secret passages and hidden doors. But you do find a lot of treasures. And you aren’t just wandering aimlessly; you can be assigned things to do. You can also earn Visas when you travel that can earn you longer trips and a vacation home.

One of the fun things you can create is a basement to fill with Egyptian treasures. I was frustrated, though, because even though the instruction manual tells exactly how to make a basement, it didn’t show how I could get into the basement! I am still trying to figure that out.

I enjoyed even small changes: For example, you can quit your job instead of being fired, and you can move. Overall, despite some confusing elements, I enjoyed World Adventures.
