Select where you want to receive notifications. In the “Where you receive these notifications” section, you can enable Push notifications (the kind that pop up in Facebook your iPhone or iPad), email notifications, and/or SMS text notifications from Facebook.

. This option, under the “Receive notifications for” header, ensures that you’ll be notified of birthdays before they happen.
The “Belated birthdays” option is turned on by default. If you don’t want to be notified of birthdays you’ve missed, you can tap the switch to turn it off.
Tips
Another way to open the Birthdays page is to tap the Notifications icon (the bell) at the bottom of the screen and select any of your current or past birthday notifications.
To view a specific friend’s birthday, open their profile, tap About, select See All About at the bottom, and then find their birthday under “Basic Info.” If you don’t see it there, they haven’t made their birthdate public.
