Vacuuming is a drag. Why not press a few buttons on your smartphone, and let the Neato Botvac Connected robot vacuum do the work?
The Wi-Fi-enabled model can be operated directly from an iOS or Android handset; use the linked app to start, stop, schedule, and monitor vacuuming.
“Picture this: You’re at work when you learn that unexpected company is on the way to your house,” Nancy Nunziati, Neato vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
“You grab your smartphone, access the Neato app and with a couple of taps your Neato robot immediately starts cleaning,” Nunziati said. “Your floorsat leastare clean when your guests arrive.”
Handy on carpet or hardwood, the Botvac Connected runs in Eco Modeup to 120 minutes of quiet, energy-saving cleaningand Turbo Modeup to 90 minutes of super-powered cleaning for maximum pick-up.
Pair the robot with a home or office Wi-Fi network and load the Neato mobile app to remotely set a regular schedule, start a full-house or spot clean, and receive notifications about vacuuming status.
Using laser scanning, continuous room mapping, and real-time object detection, the Botvac Connected can plan its own cleaning course. Users can, however, use their smartphone app to direct the robot’s path, making sure it doesn’t miss that trail of crumbs or pile of dust bunnies. The smart device knows when to retreat to its base for recharging, then automatically returns to the same spot it left off to finish the job.
