Turning your words and images into a beautiful Web story just got a lot easier thanks to Adobe.

The software giant on Thursday launched Slate, a free iPad app that lets you create elegant Web content without any design experience. Aimed at students, teachers, nonprofit organizations, small business owners, or anyone who wants to communicate something online, the new app offers professionally designed, magazine-style layouts with a range of fonts, colors, and other options.

“In today’s digital world, everyone wants to share engaging Web-based stories that stand out, but often people don’t have the right tools to easily create something impactful,” Paul Gubbay, vice president of product development at Adobe, said in a statement.

Tap to select from multiple font combinations, colors, and motions to make your content stand out. Adobe says that Slate puts the focus on your photos and makes your content “much more engaging and exciting” to read, thanks to automated scrolling transitions.

You can also add Call-to-Action buttons, which link to online sites and other relevant information, encouraging readers to “Donate Now,” “Volunteer,” or “Learn More.” Even better — Slate content automatically adapts to any device, so it’ll look good across tablets, smartphones, and computers.

Once you bring your content to life with Slate, you’ll get a link that can easily be shared via text message, email, social media, or embedded in websites.

Adobe said that Slate builds on the success of Voice, an app it released last year for creating animated videos. Voice got an update today, adding improved text overlay that helps your words stand out over a busy image or background, new motion graphics, refined layout fonts, and categorized video examples. You can also now see the number of times your viewed was been viewed or “appreciated.”

Head over to the App Store(Opens in a new window) to download Slate. The app requires iPad 2 or higher and iOS 8. For more on Slate, check out the video below.
