BlueStacks Now Offers Twitch Streaming for Android Games

The problem: you’re on your desktop or laptop PC most of the day, but you love playing games on your Android device. With BlueStacks, an Android emulator, you can run those mobile games on your PC, but what about live streams?

BlueStacks lets you do that now, too. The company just launched an update that integrates Twitch streaming directly into the app. Just pull up the BlueStacks player and click on the new “Streaming” panel that should be on the right. You’ll be asked to log into your Twitch account and authorize BlueStacks as the streaming tool you want to use. Once you’re authenticated, hit the big “Start Streaming” button.

“This was a natural combination. BlueStacks has mobile equivalents of the most popular games on the Twitch platform – mid-core RPG titles especially,” BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma in a statement(Opens in a new window). “The mobile world has hundreds of popular titles for each of these PC game types. It used to be hard to stream a mobile game. It involved multiple devices: a tablet, a webcam and wires. We’ve cut all of that out. From a PC it’s easy to stream.

“It’s why Twitch has become so popular so fast. BlueStacks users are already playing mobile games like Hearthstone, Castle Clash, Vainglory, and others—we just built the bridge to their platform, and have brought their content to ours. This combines the power of two huge user bases.”

According to a blog post from Bluestacks back in December of 2015(Opens in a new window), the service has more than 100 million users using more than one billion apps and games each month.
