If you want to try out pre-release versions of Google’s Chrome, you can sign up to do just that on Windows, OS X, Linux, Chrome OS, and Android. These channels give you access to progressively newer Chrome build, though what you gain in potentially new features and tweaks, you lose in stability.

As you probably noticed, there’s one big operating system that’s missing from that list. Until now, those on iOS have had no way to test out pre-release versions of Chrome. But that changes today, as Google is now allowing interested iOS users to sign up for TestFlight-backed Chrome betas—but just the beta channel, not any of the other, less-stable options.

To enroll, you have to go to Google’s “Try out Google Chrome beta(Opens in a new window)” page and enter your email address. Google will send you an invite into its TestFlight beta after a few minutes, and you’ll have to install that app from the App Store (and authenticate yourself) to get started. You’ll also have to enter a code into TestFlight that Google gives you. Once verified, you’ll be given the option to replace your current version of Chrome on your smartphone or tablet with a new beta version.

While it remains to be seen just how stable Google’s beta will be, it certainly might be worth checking out—especially for those with brand-new iPhones who are looking to use their devices’ unique features when browsing.
