Google has added access to more information in its Google Flights(Opens in a new window) search engine, giving travelers the skinny on the various amenities offered in planes they’ll be flying to various destinations.
Working in search capabilities gained in its partnership with Routehappy, Google Flights search results now show such things as whether a multi-stop trip offers in-flight Wi-Fi throughout the entirety of the trip, on portions of it, or not at all.
Savvy travelers are probably already using Google Flights. If you haven’t, it’s worth checking out the next time you plan a vacation to quickly help you find the best deals on airfare, as well as learning about particulars like legroom on a given plane.
Clicking on any of the flights generated in a search also informs you if a flight has in-seat power and video-streaming capabilities.
“We know people are looking for more information about the flights they’re taking before they buy, so integrating Routehappy Happiness Factors is a great addition to Google Flights. Now even more people have access to comprehensive flight amenity data and useful flight search information,” Gianni Marostica, Google’s director of business development for travel said in a statement(Opens in a new window).

Separately, Routehappy calculates a score(Opens in a new window) grading the amenities offered on specific flights.
Keep in mind that not all air carriers play perfectly with Google Flights. You won’t find Southwest’s pricing information in the results, for example.
