How would you like to be able to access your home computer wherever you are, right from your iOS device? Now you can.
Google on Monday brought its Chrome Remote Desktop functionality to iOS after first launching on Android in April. The new Chrome Remote Desktop app for iOS lets you securely access your home computer while you’re on the go, from your iPhone or iPad. You can, for instance, use the app to view your files or apps, or even give a friend short-term access to your desktop so they can help you solve a computer problem.

You can connect multiple computers — such as your living room PC and your bedroom Mac, for instance.
When testing out the Chrome Remote Desktop app for Android back in April, we found that it was a little bit complicated to use, but works “very well overall” and treats multiple monitors like one large desktop, which is preferable to switching between them.
The new Chrome Remote Desktop app is available as a free download in the App Store(Opens in a new window) now. For more info about the remote desktop feature, including detailed instructions on setting it up, head over to Google’s support page(Opens in a new window).
