Microsoft’s Bing team is recruiting Seattle-based shoppers to test a new program that is intended to simplify the process of securing local deals.

Since the launch of Bing Offers, “you told us to that one thing you didn’t like having to pre-purchase deals that they might forget or not use due to inflexible redemption options,” the team said in a blog post(Opens in a new window). “Also people didn’t like the added hassle of having to print up coupons or display QR codes to redeem savings.”

With “Bing Offers Card-Linked,” Redmond is looking to solve both problems. Just link your credit card, discover, shop, and save.

Through a partnership with First Data and payment networks like Visa and MasterCard, shoppers will be able to easily take advantage of deals from Pizza Hut, Mooyah Burgers, and Buca Di Beppo, among others.

For now, Bing’s new credit-card-linked system is serving only Seattle consumers, as Microsoft tests the waters. Eligible users can sign up online to sync their card; Bing sends reminders via email or Microsoft devices and services when local deals are available.

Once you find the cheap spa treatment or restaurant discount that you want, pay with your linked card as usual, and Bing will report the discount directly on your credit statement.

Currently in beta, Bing Offers(Opens in a new window) serves as an aggregate of savings from deal sites like Groupon, Living Social, Yelp, and others.

“Since we launched the program we have been committed to exploring ways to make [it] as easy as possible for you to find and redeem great offer[s],” the Bing blog said(Opens in a new window). “Bing Offers Card-Linked is just another way that Bing is helping deal-savvy people find what they need.”

The service is expected to roll out to other U.S. cities soon.
