Email simplification tool Mailbox has made the leap from mobile to desktop, today announcing(Opens in a new window) a Mac app public beta.

The rollout comes a few months after the company demoed an early version of Mailbox for Mac, which received such positive feedback that the company decided to make it official.

Much like its original iPhone launch, Mailbox has opened a wait list(Opens in a new window) for excited fans, who should be on the lookout for a betacoin email attachment. Those lucky users will be able to unlock their copy of Mailbox for Mac, and turn on the accompanying mobile “snooze to desktop” feature.

For the uninitiated, betacoins(Opens in a new window) are single-user licenses that allow access to the desktop email service. If you have a coin already, just download the app, and, when prompted, enter your betacoin.

Everyone else will have to wait on Mailbox, which will gradually roll out emails to users on the wish list. But remember: once you’ve used your betacoin, it can not be entered again on another device.

Mailbox has more to offer than just a Mac-based beta product. The company also announced support for email drafts on desktop—a feature coming soon to iOS and Android, as well. Drafts will be saved locally to the device you’re using, and automatically synced across devices when you’re signed in via Dropbox, which acquired Mailbox last year.

Mailbox topped 1 million users in six weeks on iPhone before expanding to the iPad in May 2013. Almost a year later, Dropbox rolled out Mailbox for Android.
