Bungie has opened up pre-orders for the Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn Blaster to Destiny 2 players who completed the quest to acquire the rocket launcher in-game before July 7.
Gjallarhorn debuted in the original Destiny, and according to Destinypedia(Opens in a new window), it was “often seen as one of the most overpowered weapons ever used.” Destiny 2 referenced the rocket launcher, but it wasn’t available in-game until the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack’s release in December 2021.
Now the infamous Gjallarhorn is making its way into the physical realm. Bungie says on its online store that the replica is “designed at a 1:1 scale and features sculpted details faithfully replicated from the game,” with the resulting Nerf launcher measuring in at over four feet long.
“In addition to capturing the look of this overpowering launcher,” Bungie says, “the NERF LMTD Gjallarhorn blaster includes the first-ever NERF Mega dart shells, which each hold 3 NERF Mega darts and fire 3 darts at a time.” (It ships with three of these shells and nine darts.)
Bungie is limiting pre-orders of the Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn Blaster to players who have acquired its in-game counterpart until July 21. The launcher costs $185 and includes an exclusive “A Distant Howl” emblem as well as an exotic “Gjallarfoam” ornament for Destiny 2.
