Nerf has partnered up with 343 Industries to create a high-end replica of the Needler from Halo.
The result is the aptly named Nerf LMTD Halo Needler(Opens in a new window). “This Nerf dart blaster recreates the blaster’s distinctive design with flexible needles that light up when you grip the handle!” Nerf says on its product page. “Fire the darts and watch the needles go dark to simulate how they launch from the blaster in the game. Other light-up accents add to the exciting visual presentation.”
The Nerf LMTD Halo Needler will ship with 10 official Nerf Elite foam darts—all of which can be loaded into the revolving drum at once—and a display stand. The replica can also be set to a display mode “so you can activate all the light-up features and place the blaster on the included stand to create an eye-popping display,” Nerf says, as long as you have the necessary batteries.
Nerf says the replica will also come with “a card with a code to unlock in-game content in the Halo Infinite game” but doesn’t specify what exactly that content will be. (If we had to guess, we’d say that Nerf-themed skins would be an obvious possibility, especially since they wouldn’t have to be limited to the Needler.) We should find out more when the product starts to ship.
This isn’t Nerf’s first Needler replica. The company also made the Nerf MicroShots Halo Needler Blaster(Opens in a new window), which costs just $11, but the difference in quality between the products is obvious. The Nerf MicroShots replica is a hand-loaded blaster that doesn’t feature any lights and only loosely resembles the in-game weapon. The Nerf LMTD version is significantly more extravagant.

It also has the price to match: the Nerf LMTD Halo Needler costs $100. Nerf is accepting pre-orders until Dec. 31, but the company says customers won’t be charged until the product is ready to ship, which it doesn’t expect to be until sometime around November 2022. That’s a bit late for a Halo Infinite tie-in, given the game’s Dec. 8 release date, but so it goes.
