Through April 7 only, Lenovo is dropping online prices of IdeaTab S6000 tablets to $219(Opens in a new window) for a 16GB model, and $269(Opens in a new window) for the 32GB model.
The discounted 16GB model provides a Web exclusive discount of $30, while the discounted 32GB model provides $60 in savings and comes with an upgraded camera and an added Micro-HDMI port.
The 10.1-inch budget tablet is a lightweight, 0.3-inch thick device that runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and provides easy access to the Google Play Store for entertainment and productivity needs.
At 1.24 pounds, this tablet is made for the on-the-go user and provides up to 9 hours of battery life when browsing on Wi-Fi. A separate Micro USB on-the-go cable may be purchased, which allows for charging of secondary devices, such as a mobile phone, directly through the normal micro-USB connection.
The S6000 features a 1,280-by-800-resolution display and 10-point multi-touch. Video streaming is especially convenient with the 32GB model, which features a Micro-HDMI slot to transfer HD video to the TV. Dual speakers enhance video playback and fast connectivity through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 make steaming more convenient.
The 32GB model, normally priced at $329, also features a rear 5-megapixel camera. Both models include expanded storage options via Micro SD.
